Firebrand TV

Firebrand, a revolutionary new network that programs only the best television commercials, made its multi-platform debut in November 2007 on the ION Television Network and simultaneously on the web at www.firebrand.com.

At launch, Firebrand needed to unveil a major product. They had several significant goals; to distribute and synchronize content across the three mediums of TV, web and mobile, deliver high value production capability for TV, and debut a state of the art, media 2.0 website to captivate their audience.

Together we designed and built a Media Asset Management (MAM) and automated Transcode system, delivering content for TV, web, and mobile. We enabled high value production workflows incorporating cutting edge automation and systems integration between their MAM and their editing system. We also collaborated with Firebrand on their dynamic website and the backend that drives it, using Flex, Flash and database technologies. We provided comprehensive needs analysis, system architecture, software development and integration, infrastructure deployment, implementation, training and support.

Working with Control Group, Firebrand was able to achieve these goals on an extremely tight timeline and budget, getting their content on the web, TV and mobile, Since launch, they have received an amazing press coverage and heavy web traffic. The site now has a database of more than 1,700 ads from 600 different companies. Since its launch, Firebrand.com has attracted 250,000 unique visitors who streamed 4.5 million commercials.
